There is no other podcast about this movie exactly like this one. THE DEPARTED is my favorite movie of all time, but I didn't want to do just any THE DEPARTED podcast. So I went back to the William Monahan screenplay, and found the five best moments in THE DEPARTED original screenplay that are NOT in the final film. Many people will prefer other Martin Scorsese films, but for me this remains my favorite to this day, for its mixture of pacing, dark humor, East coast attitude, startling violence, and memorable dialogue.
