The Time Travel Experiment Was Deemed Too Cruel For Animals... Taking Time

In Voyage Media's new sci-fi podcast, Taking Time, an "expendable" everyman gets recruited for an incredibly dangerous, wildly mysterious time travel experiment, and hopes to use the opportunity to save the life of the woman he loved.
Equally wacky, silly, mysterious, and heartfelt - Taking Time is a time travel story through the lens of corporate espionage, "accidental" deaths, and dysfunction. All episodes of Season 1 are available now, anywhere you listen to podcasts.

[SPEAKER_04]: Hi, I'm Marshall, I'm an aggressively ordinary guy who had a pretty extraordinary adventure.
00:08.480 --> 00:11.642
[SPEAKER_04]: I got the travel and time and tried to save the life of the woman I love.
00:12.623 --> 00:13.723
[SPEAKER_04]: It was kind of a mess.
00:14.904 --> 00:17.125
[SPEAKER_04]: Some people might say it was sort of like a hypocrisy.
00:17.785 --> 00:20.026
[SPEAKER_04]: Personally, I find that offensive.
00:21.347 --> 00:26.790
[SPEAKER_04]: I would say it was more like back to the future, except maybe I'm not as cool as Martin McFly.
00:27.505 --> 00:33.951
[SPEAKER_04]: I would also say it's a little bit like the notebook with me as the Ryan Gosling Park minus the apps.
00:35.193 --> 00:36.794
[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, it kind of happened like this.
00:38.195 --> 00:44.902
[SPEAKER_02]: Our first preference for test subjects was dogs, but dog lovers among the science and engineering staffs objected.
00:45.262 --> 00:46.984
[SPEAKER_04]: Isn't it naked?
00:47.244 --> 00:50.908
[SPEAKER_02]: We can only project living beings, beings who are completely nude.
00:53.115 --> 00:54.959
[SPEAKER_05]: I took a spacecraft to Mars.
00:55.540 --> 00:57.684
[SPEAKER_05]: Now you have been pushing little buttons.
00:57.725 --> 00:59.909
[SPEAKER_05]: Just shut it and push it, Felix.
01:04.577 --> 01:09.360
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, so the thing is, we don't actually have had emergency return protocol.
01:09.820 --> 01:10.080
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
01:11.121 --> 01:12.181
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's Samantha Kennedy?
01:12.681 --> 01:14.462
[SPEAKER_04]: She was a high school friend.
01:15.303 --> 01:17.584
[SPEAKER_04]: She was killed in the car wreck at the end of senior year.
01:18.525 --> 01:19.565
[SPEAKER_04]: Please, Sammy.
01:20.246 --> 01:22.207
[SPEAKER_04]: You can't go to Donnie's Wednesday night.
01:22.887 --> 01:25.328
[SPEAKER_04]: If you do, something terrible will happen.
01:26.229 --> 01:28.230
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you're psychic now, you know the future.
01:28.790 --> 01:29.951
[SPEAKER_04]: They'll kill you, Sammy.
01:31.020 --> 01:37.382
[SPEAKER_02]: If you know that that's where this whole time travel thing was headed, Marshal never would have gotten on the bus.
01:38.382 --> 01:46.905
[SPEAKER_00]: From Voyage Media, producer of the number one science fiction podcasts, sanctuary, and elucidity, a new sci-fi podcast with a sense of humor.
