In the near-future, Dasha inherits a hard drive of her dead grandfather's memories. She discovers he's speaking directly to her through these memories, and had been doing so since the day she was born. Her grandfather is giving her clues to stop a global population control conspiracy, that's implanted kill switches unbeknownst to most of the world's population.
